nEUlakes wins a european call for 832,400.00 euros to support start-ups in rural areas
A contribution aimed at fostering start-ups’ growth in European rural areas and encouraging the creation of a network between institutions, associations and entities that operate through good practices in the field of territorial valorisation. The nEUlakes network is awarded a contribution of 77,875 euros. These are fundamental resources to continue the ambitious project undertaken by the association created whose main goals are bringing together citizens of different European countries, sharing experiences and discussing innovative ideas within the framework of integration and the strategy, for sustainable and inclusive growth of the EU.
All of this is part of the DRIVE (Driving Rural Innovation through startup Villages across Europe) project, lasting 18 months, financed under the HORIZON (Coordination and Support Actions for Circular Economy and Bioeconomy Sectors) programme, for a total contribution of 832,400 euros.
This is a new action which is part of those already undertaken to promote the exchange of good practices in the field of sustainable tourism, energy and economic sustainability, focusing on the most important challenges of recent years, including climate change, protection of biodiversity and sustainable mobility.
Partners of this new project include nEUlakes, chaired by Riccardo Venchiarutti, who is also President of the Association Visit Lake Iseo, the Italbiotec Consortium (coordinator), FS6 EU Tech Innovation Network Designated Activ (Ireland), Kliynteh Bulgaria Fondatsiya (Bulgaria), European Chemical Regions Network (Belgium), CSI Center for Social Innovation Ltd (Cyprus), the Municipalities of Emmanouil Pappas (Greece), Bohinj (Slovenia) and Le Bourget-du-Lac (France), Anci Lombardia, AB Corporation (Belgium). The members of the consortium form represent a diverse mix of municipalities and companies.
